> Kristy Docherty, Senior Consultant
Kristy is a Senior Consultant with DCL and is experienced in many aspects of social housing and urban and rural regeneration. She holds an honours degree in Social Policy and Administration as well as an MSc in Urban Regeneration.
She is particularly experienced in new and innovative forms of community consultation and enjoys working with communities and stakeholders within the context of regeneration and Master planning projects. She is experienced in new and innovative forms of community and stakeholder consultation and is comfortable facilitating face-to-face interviews, focus groups, and participatory workshops, where she develops the most appropriate approach for each project taking all issues, challenges and barriers into consideration.
Kristy has policy and development experience and prior to Docherty Consulting she worked for the City of Edinburgh Council in Strategic Services on a number of initiatives including the Local Development Committee Review, Implementing Best Value and played a key role in a comprehensive youth strategy review.
She is able to undertake a wide range of team roles within housing and regeneration sectors and has particular experience in:
- Housing and Regeneration Policy
- Governance
- Mixed Tenure Estate Refurbishment
- Urban and Rural Regeneration Strategy
- Project Information and Data Managemen
and all aspects of Consultation and Participation; including:
- Developing Consultation Strategies
- Community Engagement
- Stakeholder Mapping
- Assessing Consultation techniques
- Qualitative and Quantitative data analysis
Kristy has excellent people skills and finds working with the project team and local people equally rewarding.
