DCL bring a creative approach to community engagement that helps to ensure that your residents’ opinions can be heard and considered. This is backed up by professional expertise in quantitative and qualitative consultation research.

Both our founding directors have extensive experience in resident and tenant participation whilst working in local authorities and social housing providers (housing associations). This experience combined with over 20 years’ consultancy work between them provides our clients with a real practical and strategic understanding of what good community engagement is about.

Balnacoil Wind Farm – Community Engagement Post Submission Services
Following the completion of pre-application consultation services and submission of the planning application in 2013, DCL have been engaged by vento ludens to continue to provide community engagement services in support of the planning application.  This includes continuing to work with the local community, Council and other stakeholders to develop the community benefit offer.

Independent Tenant Advisor Services
Independent Tenant Advisor Services on several large stock transfers in including Glasgow City Council and Sunderland Housing Group (now Gentoo).

Gorebridge Community Development Trust
Advisor to Gorebridge Community Development Trust, in respect of determining the future of a former primary school, and its proposed change of use to a community facility. Services included; preparation of; a local community asset register, costed options appraisal, feasibility study and funding risk assessment.

Wallacetown and Newton Community Organisation
Consultancy services to Wallacetown and Newton Community Organisation,Ayr. Services included; preparation of a community asset register and a costed feasibility study of a former council building.

Norfolk County Council Regeneration Strategy
Communities Advisor for Norfolk County Council in the preparation of a county-wide regeneration strategy. Our role involved designing and facilitating participatory workshops and face to face and telephone interviews with key stakeholders.

Scottish Borders Housing Association Communications
Communications Consultant for Scottish Borders Housing Association at Stonefield, Hawick. Encouraging tenant and resident involvement in the preparation of a Master Plan and Business Case for an estate based regeneration project.
