Securing the Benefits of Wind Power Report CoverWe are pleased to be able to carry out specific pieces of research either on a 1-off basis or as part of a wider commission. Recent work includes the publication of a report entitled ‘Securing the Benefits of Wind Power in Scotland’, and we are currently carrying out socio economic research as part of environmental impact assessment.

DCL also has a close working relationship with SCENE, with whom we are currently collaborating on several exciting research opportunities aimed at improving community ownership opportunities in the renewables sector.

As a follow-up to the 2012 research report on Community Benefit, DCL are pleased to have taken part in the Scottish Government’s advisory group on good practice in community benefit in onshore wind energy alongside vento ludens and a number of other developers and organisations.  This resulted in the Scottish Government Good Practice Principles for Community Benefits from Onshore Renewable Energy Developments.
